No Time To Die

NO TIME TO DIE

Bond returns!!! The long covid delayed film has arrived. Bond comes out of hiding to help his old friend Felix look into locating an evil villain with a weapon to end mankind!!! OH NO!!

Well ...Daniel Craig's last Bond film has arrived!!! This review is with SPOILERS ..I am giving it 3 1/2 stars out of 5 ...so do not read further if you do not want SPOILERS!!

NEGATIVES:

-PC...STOP IT! Bond is not PC. In fact Bonds Un-PC is laughable because we as the viewer are intelligent enough to know is not PC, but we know it is dry humor!! Just stop. Bond is not PC. Stop throwing unnecessary things is in the film to make it PC.
-Bad acting!! Rami Malek as the evil Kyutsifer Safin. Yes Oscar winner Malek is just awful. We can barely hear what he has to say. He just does not come across as menasing ,,,more like just an asshole who sometimes wears a mask.
Lashana Lynch as 007 comes across as annoying and very very stiff in this role.
-The ending. You do not kill Bond. That is not James Bond. Director Cari Joji Fukunaga should never ever ever direct another film. With screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. No one should ever go to any film they are involved in. Yes Craig was going away. However you let him go into the sunset. He brought back the popularity of Bond!!!

Wait a minute!! All those negatives yet 3 1/1 stars?
Oh there is good and it's all in the acting.

-The stunts were great starting with the cycle chase and then the car chase..all the way to the end. Even the Ice scene in the beginning was fun. Soooo exciting.
-Daniel Craig was great , and almost better as an older Bond.
-Lea Seydoux as Madeleine is perfect. She definitely has really grown comfortable in this role. She is soft and tough at the same time. She says so much with just her eyes. She is smarter than Bond, and I think Bond knows it, and appreciates it, and that is why they connect.
-Ben Whishaw as Q and Naomi Harris as Moneypenny have become wonderful scene stealers.
-Introducing Ana De Armas as agent Paloma steals the screen from Craig. Just like she did in Knives Out, she holds her own with Craig and then some. Paloma deserves her own film!! I wanted her in this film longer. Hell have her show up at the end to save Bond!!

So again 3 1/2 stars out of 5 for No Time To Die. Worth a look but Fukunaga is plain awful.

From the shadows as always thanks for your time
