Cry Macho

CRY MACHO

Mike Milo (Clint Eastwood), a one time rodeo star, and former horse breeder, takes a job to head to Mexico to bring a man's young son home from Mexico. Milo becomes a mentor to the young boy during the perilis road trip home.

If you do not mind the very slow story the film is not bad.
It is highlighted by good performances by Eduardo Minett as Rafo the young boy.
Also, Natalia Traven as Marta who helps Mike and Rafo along the way. In fact when Traven is not on the screen the film seems to not be as good. That is a reflection of Clint Eastwood, he directed this film and does a wonderful job. He probably should have cast someone else to star in it. The film is a slow mover, then throw in at his age he is a slow mover. Not a good mix lol.

Let's get back to the nice script by Nick Schenk and N. Richard Nash. Like noted before the script is slow but works. It has a lot tension and twists; and some "feels" to it.  Yes it could have been edited down from its 1 hour 45 minute run time. Yes, the ending was incredibly flat, to a point the people in the theater and sat staring for awhile like.."That was it". That's not good.

Well little long here. It is a nice, story worth 3 out of 5 stars..

From mthe shadows as always thanks for your time.
