Adams Family 2
This is a sequel to the just okay Adams Family from 2019. In this sequel, Wednesday is getting older and pulling away from the family. Gomez comes up with the idea, to bring the family closer, to take the family on a road trip.
Positives: Not many.
Chloe Grace Moretz voice work for Wednesday is just spot on. In fact I would not mind a animated film following her to college. Wednesday is an interesting character. Well that is about all the positives.
Negatives:
The script by Dan Hernandez; Benji Samit: and Ben Queen, is a mess. One story line about a gentleman trying to kidnap Wednesday (It comes across as creepy for children, and not in a Adams Family creepy way). One storyline is the aforementioned road trip. Then a nonsense story about Cousin It having a party at the mansion. All together it seems like a mess and a bit lazy. Kids in my screening were very rammy and seemed bored. I just think Wednesday is their star and they could not hash out a good story focusing on her.
How about a Wednesday animated film not for kids???!! That would work.
