KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES

Directed by Greg Mottola
Screenplay by Michael LeSieur
Starring Zach Galifianakis; Jon Hamm; Isla Fisher; and Gal Gadot

A suburban family's life is turned upside down when new neighbors move in.

This film is fun. A very funny cast with Zach Galifianakis being well...himself. The underrated Isla Fisher as always is funny. Jon Hamm, who people always think of as serious Don Draper on Mad Men, has very good good sense of dry humor (see Kimmy Schmidt), which he shows here. Gal Gadot is not asked to be as much funny as almost threatening and as such she is wonderful. Gal Gadot is a star...period. And having her 5'10 solid frame playing up against Fisher's 5'3 frame is pretty funny.
So the film is funny and entertaining.
Problems? Yes.
1-all of the laugh out loud funny parts are in the trailer. So we know what is coming.
2-The plot is thin. It is a good idea however just thin. There seems to be a lot of filler, by filler I mean stupid behavior, which makes the movie seem loooooong, humorous but long.

So it is good for an entertaining night at home. It is fun...just a bit long.

3 1/2 stars out of 5. It comes out for home viewing January 17 2017.

From the shadows as always thanks for your time.
