A Wednesday Revisit: Back To The Future Day

Image result for back to the future trilogy

Yes I know, Wednesday is YAY OR NAY TRAILERS day. However, it is Back To The Future Day!! I cannot ignore it!! So you will have to wait a week to for more trailers as I take you back to the future with fun and not so fun facts of all three films.

BACK TO THE FUTURE 1/1985

-The script was rejected 40 times before it was finally green-lit.
-The DeLorean was deliberately selected for its general appearance and gull wing doors, in order to make it plausible that people in 1955 would presume it to be an alien spacecraft. The production ultimately used three real DeLoreans
- Billy Zane makes his first on-screen appearance in this film as "Match", one of Biff's cronies.

BACK TO THE FUTURE 11/1989
-First film appearance by Elijah Wood. He plays one of the two video game boys that Marty speaks to in the diner near the start of the film.
-The ledge on the clock tower that Doc broke in Back to the Future is still broken in 2015.
-The tagline for Jaws 19 is "This time it's really, REALLY personal". On the marquee is the name of the director, "Max Spielberg", executive producer Steven Spielberg's son. Max was born in June of 1985, the same year the first film in the series was released.

BACK TO THE FUTURE 111/1990
- Filmed at the same time as Back to the Future Part II
-In Back to the Future, Doc tells Marty that he was inspired to create the flux capacitor after hitting his head on the bathroom sink while trying to hang a clock over his toilet. In Back to the Future Part III, when Doc freaks out after seeing Marty in his house and runs into the bathroom, you can just see the clock hanging above the toilet he slipped on.
-The clock for the Hill Valley Clock Tower can be seen in the background being unloaded from the train as Doc and Marty talk to the conductor about the train's speed.

Well here is to October 21st 2015!!!
From the shadows as always thanks for your time.
