JUMANJI THE NEXT LEVEL
Well not much to say here..
It is pretty much the same movie but this time to get a jewel that has power.
All the actors are back. This time adding Danny Devito as Grandpop Eddie. Also Eddie longtime friend Milo played by Danny Glover. Adding these older actors gives the opportunity for more laughs, the older/or elderly jokes are hit and miss.
If I had to pick a couple standouts here:
Karen Gillan has more to do here and pretty much becomes the leader often. She is great.
Surprisingly Nick Jonas has more to do then he did in the first film. He is really good. He seems more relaxed then he did in Midway.
Well like I said...it is pretty much the same film with additional characters. I noticed in my screening kids were rammy as all get out. They were dealing with a lot of adult things like getting old; and life changes after high school that little ones will be lost with.
Well 2 1/2 out of 5 for Jumanji The Next Level...it works for a matinee movie. Not as good as the first one but it has exciting moments with some laughs.
