In the year of "just better than okay" movies, I turned down the local red carpet night. I just ...felt blah.
So this year I found I disagree with many nominations....
So...here...we...GO!!

- Josh Safdie, "Marty Supreme"
- Paul Thomas Anderson, "One Battle After Another"
- Joachim Trier, "Sentimental Value"
- Ryan Coogler, "Sinners"
WILL WIN and SHOULD WIN
PAUL THOMAS ANDERSON
It is a battle between Anderson and Coogler, I think it has been Anderson all Oscar season and I think he still has the edge. If you have watched this film, you will understand why, he adds humor and tension through decades...and that last chase scene was brilliant.
As for snubs...I don't really have any in this weak year.
BEST ANIMATED FILM

WILL WIN
K-POP DEMON HUNTER
Voters are lazy and I think they hear this is a very popular movie so they will vote this way. Simple as that.
SHOULD WIN
ZOOTOPIA 2
K-POP is just a herky jerky animated film, that is getting votes because of the music. Which is sad..because Zootopia 2 has great voice work by Ginnifer Goodwin; Ke Huy Quan; and Jason Bateman. A better story of love and friendship. Beautiful to look at.
I have no snubs for this category.

MICHAEL B JORDAN
It seems to me that DiCaprio has fallen by the wayside and it is now a two actor race. Jordan vs Chalamet. I think both deserve it. They both were amazing in their roles but I give the edge now to Jordan. I mean he played two different roles in Sinners. I think in Hollywood he is more liked than Chalamet and because of the two roles I think he deserves it.
SNUBBED
PAUL MESCAL in Hamnet
I think he is overlooked by the voters because his costar Jessie Buckley gave the best performance in decades and it kinda overshadowed his amazing performance as William Shakespeare. I would definitely replace Wagner Moura with Mescal.

DELROY LINDO
This is a three horse race. Lindo; Penn; and Skarsgard, and it is wide open. I think voters think Pernn will not show up, he usually does not do events, and voters want the winner to be there. So it comes down to Lindo and Skarsgard..I think the Sinners steam roll and a lifetime award will get Delroy the Oscar.
SHOULD WIN
SEAN PENN
As Col. Lockjaw..he plays a tough role, he is an ass, yet kinda funny and over the top.
He deserves to win, Lindo, who I think will Win, was only in the film for 18 minutes. That's all.
SNUB
BEN FOSTER
I think Ben Foster as the awful manager/husband James Martin, gives a better performance than all 5 of the nominees. Shame on the marketing of this film.
I would replace Elordi with Ben Foster.

I mean, this is the lock. Maybe the best performance of the decade. Buckley as Agnes Shakespeare is now the high bar.

Sydney Sweeney
I know you're tired of me noting how good Christy is...but it is. I know it is a hard watch dealing with abuse but it is a very good film that was poorly marketed. An amazing true story, Sydney Sweeney is soooo good as Christy Martin. I would replace Rose Byrne (Overacted) with Sweeney.

Well you know what I think of this dreadful film. Madigan has won all the awards this season. That's all.

ELLE FANNING
I a weak field I think Elee should win in a very difficult role, to be liked and sorta questioning why she is here, if you know you know in Sentimental Value. Also Amy Madigan was on screen for 14 minutes in weapons., That's all!!
SNUBBED
I HAVE 3!!! YES 3.
Ana Sophia Heger
This 11 year old stole this movie with her performance as Polly in She Rides Shotgun. A film that was surprisingly ignored by everyone. I would replace her with Wunmi Mosaku.
Ariana Grande
Maybe the biggest snub of all snubs. Ariana as Glinda plays the part sooo well in For Good. Showing Glinda's growth. The scene when she says goodbye. The song The Girl In The Bubble. It is almost embarrassing how she was ignored. Shame on the voters. I would replace Madigan with her. How can Madigan get a nomination for 15 minutes and Grande gets ignored?!
Odessa a Zion
How did she not get nominated. It is embarrassing. She almost stole the film from Chalamet! So good as the smart yet a bit sad Rachel. I would replace Taylor with her. I felt Taylor was stiff as a board in One Battle.

This is a new category for the Oscars. This is a battle between the cast of Sinners and One Battle. I mean look at that cast above. I believe voters will lean this way and it is well deserved

I mean how did they ignore this cast, all four nominated! They were ignored for this category. How? I would replace Secret Agent with Sentimental Value.

I think voters are lazy. I am not saying Sinners is a bad film. In fact it is very good. However I do think voters will see 19 nominations and think, oh that has to be the best picture.

MARTY SUPREME
Again, in a year with just better than okay films, Marty Supreme I found, out of all the nominees , the most entertaining and had me locked in.

Okay I will stop talking about this hard to watch film. I would easily replace The Secret Agent with this film.
