Ethan Hunt is just a great character. So are his , I guess assistance.
It delivers what you want....action...including an amazing scene involving an helicopter; throw in some humor and a pretty good storyline.
Faults?
150 minutes is pretty long. It could have left out one of the chase scenes, It gets sometimes oddly boring.
Just fun!!! By the way a really good performance by Henry Cavill, a break away role for him, stepping away from Superman.
Also is Rebecca Ferguson now a big time star???!!
The story is okay. it delivered what the crowd wanted I guess
Lily James is really good.
However singing is just okay too often really bad. I can go through the rest of my life happily if I do not have to listen to Meryl Streep sing again. Same for seeing Brosnan/Skarsgard/Firth sing and dance again. Just bad!!!!!!!!!!!
Based on the television show, I looooove this character and Washington plays him perfect...while Director Antoine Fuqua really takes his time with a slow burn and character development.
Really good film.
Only negative was that the last 15minutes was a little bit loose...driving into a hurricane? Smart on McCall's part for cover but it seemed odd.
Still, again, a really good film.
Well acted by Lakeith Stanfield, and it is always great to se Tessa Thompson.
I understand the thought process touching on struggles of blacks in society trying to better themselves in the workforce. I also like it touched on blacks treating other blacks poorly after success. I get the dry humor.
However the execution is messy...storylines bounce everywhere often nonsensically.
Again I get the point but to me...it does not work as a whole.
I thought it delivered exactly what you would want in a Dwayne Johnson film.
Action and more action.
It was also nice to see Neve Campbell back on the big screen.
So yes it delivered action...it just got real sloppy at the end, no spoilers, it seemed like they did not want it to or how to make it end.
Also...another note of mine and I know it gets old but...could they have made this movie without automatic weapons? Stop creating the norm in viewers eyes. Just saying.
I felt it was funny and quirky.
The plot is a little confusing but I went with it.
I felt they were making it up as it went on.
Still the wonderful acting pushes it through the problems (This town has a biiiig shortage of police officers).
First I want to thank everyone for following my blog even though my reviews are only a small paragraph or a few lines....my numbers of looks on the blog from the states and and outside the states have still been high each day. It is Awesome!!

ISLE OF DOGS
Oddly wonderful.
It gets a little loose at the end, but most Anderson films are.
But still classic Wes Anderson, if you do not get Wes Anderson films....well you may not get this.
Isle Of Dogs is available for home viewing around July 17th
A QUIET PLACE
Really scary, almost exhausting.
Well acted by all involved Emily Blunt; John Krasinski; Noah Jupe; and the actual hearing impaired Millicent Simmonds.
Well written and directed by John Krasinski.
I have been told, and have received email from many people saying the movie was too quiet, and it annoyed them that they could hear people eating popcorn and such. Well that is what makes this film so good. It is a thriller and horror and at the same time...oddly quiet. It is different!
A Quiet Place is available for home viewing around July 10th.
DEADPOOL 2
SOOOO FUNNY and I am not a big superhero guy!!
Yes the story is very choppy, but just go with it. It is a comedy. So many funny lines!
Oh, it earns its rated R label.
Deadpool 2 is still out in theatres and is available for home viewing August 21st.

He just walked the earth with peace and love in his heart.
If I had a fault it would be...I wanted to see or hear more about his home life.
Still I was happy it also touched on something I note often in this blog.
Be careful about what type of entertainment you expose to children....it may end up being the norm.
You will cry, you will laugh.

AMERICAN ANIMALS
Not based on a true story...........it is a true story.
Its crazy. Funny. Sometimes thrilling. Yet sometimes sad.
And in the end you wonder what was real in the eyes of these students. Was this heist orchestrated by a puppet master.
Well acted. Interesting editing decisions made by director Bart Layton....to have the real characters narrate throughout the film. So different....so real...kinda crazy heist film.
American Animals can be found in theatres and is available for home viewing in late August.

CHADWICK BOSEMAN IN BLACK PANTHER
A difficult job to carry this movie and going head to head with another wonderful actor Michael B Jordan, and he still shines above all.
How about best newcomer:
Kiersey Clemons in Hearts Beat Loud.
Yes she was in Dope, but here she steps forward and shows she is a wonderful actress, and is a talented singer.
How about best surprising twist:
TULLY
No spoilers but...YIKES!!!
Tully comes out for home viewing July 31st. Note: there is a bit of sadness.

When this trailer was released I was flooded with messages. Telling me to see it and that Lady Ga Ga is awesome. Well from the trailer...it looks that way. Plus Cooper directs and it seems like he can sing.
