It is a fun exciting film. With many winks to past films..12 parsecs!!!!
Well acted. It delivers.
Problems:
3/4 of the film is dark. Not in theme but in darkness or fog. It really is hard to see what is happening very often. I kept wondering...Howard came in to redo most of the film...was his budget tight and used fog and darkness to save on special effects?
Well anyway, wonderful start to a new trilogy!!

You get exactly what you pay for with this film.
Laughs...happy ending.
Well acted by two of the best underrated comedians in Faris and Derbez.
Got a little long and kind of sloppy at the end...but worked.

I will break it down:
Jane Fonda and Don Johnson-Boring story. However Johnson was likable.
Mary Steenburgen and Craig T Nelson-awkward story and no chemistry
Candice Burgen-I like her but why did they not keep her with Richard Dreyfus?  He disappeared.
Diane Keaton and Andy Garcia-Best story. Both wonderful. Great chemistry.
Great stars weak writing.

Wanted to laugh more.

Love "Rock" Johnson, however here, the leads have no character development and made then kind of boring.
